TouchPoll Auckland is an authorised distributor for TouchPoll, Inc., and is managed by Michelle Kapinga, who joined TouchPoll in 2003. TPI World Headquarters are located in Winter Park, Florida and has over 30 licensed distributors around the world, including New Zealand.

 

TouchPoll, Inc. was originally founded in 1976 as United Research (UR), which created the very first mechanical opinion research machine, and later developed the first chip-driven polling centre which was featured in the Knoxville World's Fair. In 1984, the company name changed to Special Events Research (SER) to better reflect the nature of most of its work, and soon created the first portable computerised polling system. In 1989, SER introduced the world's first interactive touchscreen opinion collection equipment. TouchPoll has been owned by SER, and, eventually, it became the parent company. TouchPoll are members of the Market Research Society of New Zealand www.mrsnz.org.nz
